Been a few moans about postal charges lately, maybe it's me but I think they are cheap. To think you can post a jar of jam from say, Torquay, to Carlisle, for £8! It's like magic to me, I can't begin to understand how it's done, it hurts my head like when I think about space.

Surely it's got to be worth £20 to be not complicit in the utter misery courier company's such as Hermes foist on their employees, sorry, "associates or "business partners"? How do you think they did it for £6.30?

How nice of you to send jam to your old mother!

When my Gran was ill after a stroke and my Mum was having a hard time running around from hospital to care home and all sorts, she told me on the phone one evening that she'd had a sudden fancy for fruitcake, but of course she was far too tired and run off her feet to bake one.

I bought one from Bettys and sent it to her. I think it was pretty heavy, but the joy it brought her was well worth it!
