Rider of bikes

1) The cycle into work was fun. Drizzly, but fun. I like drizzle, it cools you down.
2) I placed an order for my new (Audax) bike.
3) I received an email from McLaren F1 to let me know I can visit the McLaren Technology Centre next week, *and* meet Jenson Button (I'm a big F1 fan)
4) The commute home was in glorious sunshine.
5) On the way home, going fast down a very small country lane, a Police car saw me and stopped for me a good 200 meters down the road. Thank you.
6) Up hill this time, along an even smaller country lane, I meet a lorry coming the other way. The lane is far too narrow to go past, and although I would have been happy to spin around and go back down the hill to find a passing place, before I can do that, the driver waves me on, throws the truck in reverse, and backs up a good 150 or 200 meters until I can pass. Sir, you are a gent, I know I was coming up hill, so technically had priority, but even so, thank you.
7) Despite the above, I still beat my best time by 3 minutes.
