Quite simple really.
Car drivers pay road tax and that tax pays for all the roads, that's why cyclists shouldn't have a say or have a right to use the roads. Coz cyclists don't pay road tax.

Simple. Set up a costly system of showing that we pay VED at 0%, same as electric cars.

Ah thats not how it works. Too many zero rated cars so they've had to change the system to keep the money coming in.

If cycling gets popular enough for Gidders to notice the VED revenue loss, it'll be helmet compulsion & a polystyrene tax

Saw this on the BBC website about 'getting into road cycling', so make sure you've got all the kit otherwise you'll be a vegetable and someone will have to spoon feed you and wipe your bottom.

Bloody cyclists - always jumping red lights and freeloading bast*rds the lot of them. If I had my way I would throw them in the army - bit of national service and discipline will sort them out!
(Actually had all that said to me by a bloke at work once).
