Still part of the team !
That was a great ride.
Many thanks to Martin and Nick for organising and leading it.
Since I'm hill averse (unless it's a downhill), I particularly enjoyed the new section. I also like riding on gravel so that was a further bonus.
Should I be ashamed that I was the only Friday to have a beer at the Wetherspoons ? Is it even worse that I was at the front of the beer queue ahead of a long line of regulars ?
I don't feel any shame .

CathyG and I travelled back together but we had time to kill before our train so we had a ride out along the TPT as far as the docks then we dozed most of the way back.
Later that evening it was her birthday party........
I had a few hours sleep at home; I don't know if she had time to do so but she seemed on good form later.
I left with the last guests some time after midnight (I think)................

The Sunday morning ride that I'd organised went OK; my legs felt surprisingly good although it all caught up with me later and I dozed through most of the TdeF coverage.

I really must try to do more of these rides, they're fabulous.

This may be of interest to Humber Bridge enthusiasts, and anyone else who wondered what those pipes were:
