You can have any colour you want, so long as its black

Just popped into the local outdoor shop at lunch time as I was after a cheapish Vango tent for festivals later in the year. The one I wanted comes in three colours - black, blue, and some bizarre purple/green combination. My only requirement was not black.

Asked bloke in shop what colour they'd got them in. "Black, its really nice" he said. Then went on to tell me he was bored of blue as they'd stocked that the past few years and he didn't think other colour would sell. Just because he personally is bored of blue doesn't mean his customers are!!! Does seem to be one of those shops where its considered the customer doesn't know what they want...

I shall just order what I want off the internet in that case.

Mind you, I once had a bright orange tent, which was fine except that when you opened up on even the brightest cheerfullest summer day, the world outside looked kind of flat and dowdy...

I wouldn't want a black tent either.

It's hard enough trying to find your tent at a festival without it being camouflaged in the dark.
