First time with a bike on one of Greater Anglia's class 720s. Guess the bike is supposed to go the other way round with the pedal in the metal holder, but as I was the only one in the carriage...

My much travelled old Linear on Thurstaston station platform on its last long ride in my ownership (which turned out to be a century ride). It will be a long wait for the next train on this platform as it is now part of the Wirral Way rail trail. So, nostalgia for a long closed railway as well as for a previously owned bike.

First decent ride on the Rans Stratus XP soon after I'd acquired it took me home via the old station at Whitegate on the Whitegate Way in Cheshire. No passengers have alighted on this platform since about 1953 but from the size of this sign there would have been no excuse for missing the stop. Plus, it's the only station between the junction with the main line at Cuddington and the terminus at Winsford & Over.

No bike, but last August I happened to board a train from Crewe to Shrewsbury (a Central Wales Line train heading for Swansea) and it randomly happened to be one of TfW's twin class 153 sets with a dedicated cycle coach. I took a photo for general interest. One of the cycle bays is tandem sized, which interested me, having a long wheelbase recumbent.
