I actually used to eat this as a student, and it's a good deal nicer than it sounds. But you won't find it in any cookbook.

2 tins baked beans
1 tin sweetcorn
Lots of pasta
Mayonnaise
marmite
chilli sauce
chillis
an onion, or maybe two
cheese
peanut butter
actual butter
anything else you think might fit in the pan

Cook pasta in boiling water. Put beans in a MASSIVE pan, then add absolutely everything else. Add salt and pepper, mix in with the pasta and serve at every mealtime for the next three weeks.

I still make it occasionally, when Ms RT is away.

What happens if you leave the Mayonnaise out?

I can't stand it if I'm at Tesco just wanting a coffee & cake and someone in front of me orders chips and gravy. What sort of a stomach churning meal is that? Chips and mayo ok, or even tomato sauce.

What?? Proper gravy, made with the juices from your roast, a little flour, some salt and pepper and the water left over from cooking your veg, is a joy and no roast dinner is complete without it. Or parsnips, come to that.:boxing:

I just don't understand why you would spend ages cooking a roast dinner to make it all taste the same unless you are a crap cook and need it to drown out the taste

Heathen.:boxing: Proper gravy enhances the taste of a good roast. If it "drowns out the taste", you're doing something wrong.

... anyway, your judgement is not to be trusted. Not since you revealed that you don't like roast parsnips.;)

This might be a bit advanced cookery for this thread

Take 300ml of water
Add to kettle
Plug kettle in
Switch on
Wait for water to boil
Feel foil lid off pot
Add water to fill level
Wait 2 mins
Add sauce sachet
Stir
Wait 1 minute

Enjoy vile pot noodle

p.s xmister.....i think the only sickening part of your recipe is the volume. You forgot to mention how many people that serves

Leave out the pasta, mayo and the peanut butter, and substitute a packet of bread sauce and some ground steak.
