Nice steady 66 miler today. First few miles were needed to warm up then ,apart from a fairly strong headwind in parts, quite an easy ride (it was flat ). P8nct8r8d at 28 miles but easily sorted whislt making friends with a very nice dog. Tea and Eccles cake in the cafe at 36 miles was just what the doctor ordered.

Took all my willpower to drag myself out this afternoon not really got any motivation at the moment...
17 miles in a heavy crosswind, which actually wasnt too bad, not in my face either way. Nice and sunny albeit coolish. Not many people about, on foot, on bike or in car...everywhere seems deserted

Despite my reluctance to drag my carcass out, glad i did.

A hilly 14 miles with young Cubester this afternoon, mostly off-road and total climb of 2200 feet or so. I lost a bit of confidence off-road, particularly on steepish descents but some of it was coming back this afternoon! Still, as a training run for the Colne Valley MTB Challenge next weekend, it'll do, as it was about half the total distance and about half the total climbing for next Sunday's event.

I did my longest ride ever, 30 miles with Mr BP. A long uphill to start with (I had to stop to get my breath!) then through Addingham, Ilkley, cake stop in Otley, Menston, Shipley, finishing just outside Keighley. Was defeated by the 5 Rise Locks at Bingley, I was so knackered.

En route I managed to activate a speed warning sign, admittedly it was set for 20, but it was a first for me, and later I touched 30.5mph on the final long descent, another first for me. I almost had a hat-trick of firsts when a lady cyclist who was on the pavement with another lady decided to wander out onto the road right in front of me without a backward glance. Luckily my spider sense kicked in and I guessed that she might do something silly and managed to avoid her!

I am very achey tonight and I dread what tomorrow will bring!

Had a great ride today, just meandering around the country side, sort of in the general north west of Cambridge direction then turned round & road back after 2 hours. Was windy but quite pleasant out but I'm absolutely exhausted now.

I had a good three rides today. One going to Mr Plax's (9 miles), one with Mr Plax (just over 7 miles), and the last one cycling back home (9 miles).
I was very pleased with Mr Plax today, it was his first ever ride on his new bike (excluding the tutorial on gear changing in the car park). We went along one of the local Sustrans routes so he didn't have to contend with any traffic and could get used to the bike. He did very well. We worked out the last time he was on a bike was 24 years ago. He said he enjoyed himself so hopefully this will be the first of many rides together - yipee!

Not only was I very late off work, which meant I hadn't eaten for 6 1/2 hours and was feeling decidedly woozy on the bike but the Puckin' Functure Fairy decide to pay me a visit halfway down the darkest country road in the world with nowhere to get off the road to fix the puncture for 1/2 a mile....

Started Sunday at 2pm. Finished Monday just after 3pm. In between, 250 miles of the best hills that Dorset, Hants and Somerset can muster. There may have been a bit of Devon in there somewhere as well. Tired legs.

Lovely morning, knees been a bit sore so just a 10 mile commute this morning at a very steady pace (14mph)
Funny, knock 1 or 2 mph off your normal speed, you could go all day. The only negative is you keep getting scalped

Awesome ride yesterday afternoon. 15.5 on my hillier route (yes I know it's Lincolnshire) in 52:15 (17.8mph) which is the best I have done since last summer....

40 miler today. Bit chilly and the headwind got to my back . Had to stop and do some stretches . When do we get some nice pedalling weather please?

Bed at 11pm, woke up at 4am could'nt sleep so sod it, out for a dawn ride. By the time i got ready it had started drizzling
Wet bum by the time i'd done a mile, saw a polythene bag at the side of the road, stuffed it up my back and over my bum...jobs a goodun
18 miles, wet but not soaking.
Bacon sarnie and a cup of tea when i got back.
At work now (7.30)...oh the joys of life

40 miles through the Cheshire lanes, found some new ones around Brereton and Swettenham. Couple of very light showers and cold wind so an excellent excuse to try out my new lightweight Aldi jacket. Made the mistake of coming back up part of the Manchester Wheelers TT route while they were using it, there were a couple of them who were flying.

I have been out to Bolton Abbey.My computer has not arrived from Amazon yet .

So i cannot tell what speed i was going .But my mate is impressed with the Spesh Secteur Elite .

He says i am cycling faster .

This bike is just the bees knees .

And i am still not right with this chest .So just wait .
