I thought that when we used our Tandem, I went pretty well equipped, chain link extractor, pncture kit, pump, spare Co2, tools etc.
Today, after 46 miles out of our planned 50 miler, the chain slipped off, and wound round the hub, breaking 6 spokes, and damaging the chain in 2 places, (the side plates came off!!) So, wheel not useable, chain wiped out, and the last four miles was walked!
A new wheel to be had, chain, maybe an RD too, just because!
It was a great day though
