Garth Merengie's?How could I have forgotten about Darkplace? Definitely should be up there.
If so... yes!
Actually... was it a sit com?

Seriously? That may be one of the worst things I have ever seen.

The Big Bang Theory, on the other hand, is dire. Unfunny actors playing unfunny characters making unfunny and stereotypical jokes in unfunny situations.
Did I miss something - has the 21st century finished then? What an utterly pointless survey. Best sitcom of the first 16 and a half years of the century. A bit like the recent best film of the century survey...
Revision:
I think my personal top 10 would look more like
- The Thick of It
- The Office
- 2012
- W1A
- Green Wing
- Parks & Recreation
- Outnumbered
- Black books
- Um, that's all folks
Detectorists! That would be my list except that Detectorists replaces Parks and Recreation and then zooms to the top.
You're right, but only for the first three series. I'd forgotten the wonders of the Cupboard of Patrick's Love and The Girl with Two Breasts.Back on topic, I nominate Coupling
I wouldn't turn it off if there was nothing better to do, but it's more a vehicle for Lee Mack's standup than a real sitcome. No honorable mentions for Not Going Out?
I'd also stick Flight of the Conchords in there as well...
Drop the dead donkey
And of course, Open all hours.
I'm not a fan either. But why is it "landmark"?I've mixed feelings about The Office, because I never found it all that, well, for want of a better word, funny. But I can recognise it as a truly landmark piece of television,
