Thanks all for the kind words, what started with typical Ed-like farce quickly got better and I'm very glad that everyone had a good time! It's an excellent route apart from Newburgh to Perth but that's not really avoidable - I think towards the end that the diversion would have been too big an ask on the day.

Sorry to hear about your park-based mishap, @GBC - hope you're feeling better soon!
(I knew I should have escorted you to the car park, a ride organiser's work is not over until everyone is safely home!)

Cheers
Ed

It was a really good route Ed which I'd be happy to repeat any day (tho perhaps not today ;)) a couple of testing hills but mostly flat otherwise, and a decent cafe stop too - I'll keep that one in mind for future! My legs were pretty burst with 10 miles to go, the headwind was wiping me out. Bit stiff today, spent a good afternoon cleaning the bike of Tayside dirt! Thanks again for organising:thumbsup:

Thanks Ed, had a fun day was a good route, first time ever on the Tay bridge for me so that was new. Not even my wonky feet or the slight breeze could get me down.

Ed, really good route. Shame about the headwinds which i managed to avoid (by sheer luck!).

Did anyone end up walking up Coarse Hill? :P

don't think so, I believe we all made it up under our own steam - I think @GBC stopped for a breather at the bottom before nailing it. It really is the gift that keeps on giving, isn't it?!?
