Sounds un reasonable. Years ago I used to have a good work knowledge of computers, internet, file sharing. Website creation.
I sat there and had to learn it myself. No one helped. No one showed me how to do it. To certain extent I have had to do the same with bikes.
The danger with doing it for free as you say you become the go to guy that means for every minor problem. Personally I would show them once how to mend it. Then inform if same things happens again you will charge. People are lazy by nature. The danger is they will use you rather than pay,
