England : Oxfordshire Gauging Interest. Midweek Pie n Ride.

Due to the popularity of forum rides recently I thought I'd see if there was any interest in a midweek ride.

Meet at Oxford station, a tourist ride round the city taking in some of the colleges, visit some of Inspector Morse's pubs, a pie in the covered market in Pieminister or weather permitting a picnic in the university parks.

May suit retired/self employed/ work from home types. A suggested date of Wednesday 24th August.

Any interest?

I'm on holiday the two weeks before, possibly, but am in the hands of the NHS carvery department around about then.

I'm a definitely maybe too, only thing is, I only have the road bike. I'll probably bring my son along too. My parents may be interested too.

FAB, that's more like it, the type of bike doesn't matter, I'll probably take my shopper bike, of possibly the road bike or maybe the hybrid. Dunno.

Just spotted this thread and if Mid Sept and fits in with days off work i'd be interested just looked at Off Peak trains from Paddington and all very doable.
