Glastonbury. £233 for four days of this?

It hasn't even started and people are voluntarily walking into a landscape that looks something like a mild version of the Somme. As a survivor of the Isle of Wight 1969 and 1970, I can see the attraction of festivals, but .......this!!!!!!???????

Maybe the drugs are more powerful these days.

Here's my mate Anna at Glastonbury today. Doesn't look quite so awful, but I'd not pay £233 for it.

I would pay £233 *not* to go to Glastonbury, but I get a special deal every year which allows me not to go for nowt!

(And it is not an age thing with me - I didn't want to go to festivals when I was young either. My mates would come back from festivals saying how wonderful they had been and then told me things that made me shudder. Perhaps I was just born old! )

Absolutely love music but even when I was young festivals were my idea of hell. But £200+ to go to that, even if it was bone dry, no thanks.
