Love being out on my bike and now the weather is getting better I want to start to commute to work again on my Hybrid. 13 miles each way part cycle route and part road.

Looking for tips from other commuters.

I've also got a road bike and love getting out on it on a sunny day. Never going to be fast or great on hills. Just love the feeling of achievement after a run out.

The big 50 is fast approaching but my bikes are keeping me young.

Hi from Glasgow also! I've been on one ride with the Belles, I'd love to do more rides with the group but work most of the days they are on unfortunately. Liking your pic with the kelpies, I've yet to see them in person!

I've only been on a few but really enjoyed being out with the group. My problem is I'm south west of Glasgow and most of their rides are in the east end.

I cycled up and back to the kelpies last year with a friend. 60 miles in total. Wouldn't do it again as the path between Kirkintilloch to Falkirk is quite rough and that was on my Hybrid.

We are planning to do another trip to Balloch and Luss this year. Looking forward to some sunshine.

:hello: @MrsR15 and :welcome: to CC ! :wahhey:

As you will have gathered, there are loads of us CC Ecossers here and we even have our own rides occasionally - for which there are the 3 Rules ... of which @Pat "5mph" will no doubt have made you well aware !
Yes that's Pat. Everyone knows Pat. Lovely lady.
"Lovely" is certainly one suitable description of our Pat ...

We definitely need a ride to the Keplies - as soon as it gets warm enough :cold: !

Pat 5mph is not how I would describe her personality more like 125 mph. Lol.

Looking forward to meeting some of you on a forum outing.

I know it's so cold. I want to get back into cycling into work but the forecast for the next week is very cold in the mornings. But I see light at the end. The following week is looking much better.

Welcome to CC @MrsR15
Belles rides starting from the South West are being planned :okay:
And, we are going to the Kelpies (ladies only this time, sorry CC Ecosse ) on the 10th of May. :hyper:
I don't like the canal much either, but many Belles are not confident on the roads, will plan another Kelpies ride soon, on road this time.
Was gonna tell you all about it on Friday @ScotiaLass, have let the cat out of the bag now
