Hi guys/everyone/people 
I'm new to this too, saw this post so had to address it. I'm from Eston, been cycling to and from work for the past 3 years, interspersed with some jaunts to Redcar and Saltburn added into the mix. 5 mile is normal, and can manage the 22 round trip from my home to Saltburn, but just want to go further (although I'm finding hard motivation wise).
Want to get out there for longer and further and with company (my fiancee isn't into cycling as much as I, but I'm working on her), and not too confident when it comes to social interaction with new people, so a cycling club is pretty scary lol
Anywho, there's a kind of a 'hi' from a fellow northerner
