How do you get air out of a gummed up slime tube?

Haw do you get valve cores out then? This is new information to me.

Put the slotted end of the dust cap key into the valve and turn anti-clockwise.

You will feel it 'seat' onto the top of the valve core.

Straightforward enough, although if you do it too quick the valve core will be ejected with the escaping air and you may not find it again.

I used to use them very successfully on my commuters. When parking them up at any time ensure the wheels are oriented with the valves at the top.

Lower half, but never bottom dead centre.

Google "Schrader valve core remover" The 'pack of 4' in the search result is what Paley is referring to and the video will make it clear.

I use combined dust cap/valve keys on my Schrader bikes.

If you are going to junk the tube, why not just cut off the valve - save buying a core remover.
