Do try to keep up. I was saying I care whether I offend someone - not that I care whether someone offends me. It was answering this question.

Why do people feel others should care whether they are offended or not?

Personally, I am not easily offended**, and when I am I generally do not react. The last time I remember getting offended was when everyone else at dinner agreed on "what the problem with the Jews is". I am ashamed to say my reaction was silence, rather than gainsaying it. At least my silence was noticed.

**of course, like everyone else in the universe, I give and take offence much more readily on the internet. But I don't need to tell you that.
