and the way to stop getting cold is to just keep walking, or walk faster. Its simple.
Have you ever tried walking fast with a broken ankle?
I don't know why mountain rescue teams have stretchers, can't people just walk themselves?:sad:

Come on, that is just silly:rolleyes:
And walking with a broken ankle, to stop that you really need high/mid walking shoes. Low walking ones dont really give you much protection of the ankle.

Snowdon can be dangerous because it's seen as being easy and safe. It has a railway, (will have) a cafe at the top, and thousands walk up it every year. People don't realise how unpredictable and different the weather can be with only a reasonable change in altitude.

People still die up there. It's not Regents Park.

The railway is there. And it drops you off just by the steps to the top.
But it doesnt go all the way up yet, thats next month i think?

Have you been drinking your mums cooking sherry, or sniffed a barmaids apron ?

Or are you really soooo young that you think your Invincible and that you've seen and done it all at your tender age !

Sounds like you've got alot of growing up to do Joe !

But we were all young once, just ( I hope) not so full of our selves !

I went up a hill, but came down a mountain. Bumped into Hugh Grant on the way.

Yes, we heard about that.
Its still a hill mind. And just because people struggle on it and break ankles doesnt make it any more dangerous then a normal walk, does it? I mean, walking over some moores, or up a proper mountain, now thats dangerous.
You just dont normaly get so many tourists on the moores do you?
I am infact young, and do still think im invincible. I was even worse when i was canoeing. You should see me riding my bike;)

Something very high, that you need more specialist equipment to climb, and takes at least more then a few hours to get up and back down.

Keep the enthusiam Joe but temper it with some wisdom, other peoples in this case as you are young. Snowdon is a mtn, get someone experienced to take you over Crib Goch and do the horseshoe then you'll see just what a mtn it is. I've been up it in glorious sunshine and white out blizzard, it's a different place every day.

Well dear boy, go up Crib Goch in the winter. Do you want to know where Crib Goch is...or would you hazard a guess?

edit:crackle beat me to it.

Yes but, that still doesnt mean its a mountain because its got some harder sides.
Its a mountain, its ment to be hard on most sides, and take at least 2 days to do it. Not a few hours.

I guess with this statement...all that is left for you to do is to go up K2.

That rhymes!

I have the chance to go up Mount Kilimanjaro, which is a proper mountain. It takes normal, not trained up hill walkers a few days to get up that and back down.
Im poor and cant afford to go though.

:smile: Snowdon is more of a mountain then Kilimanjaro, how do you think that fat twat Moyles managed to get up it?!?! Can you imagine him trying to get up Snowdon?

Easy.
This fat bird from 6th form did the 3 peaks challenge, but struggled up Killi, and it took a few days.

That hill in Wales, you know the one, it gets classed as a mountain.
I walked(for some reason) up that stupid hill, with no proper walking gear, my brother in crocs and we were on the minors route.
It was my mothers idea, she decided to give it a go before she couldnt do it anymore.
So we start off, my 2 brothers walk off ahead, i stay with my parents. I get bored of that and go off ahead, and me and a brother go up. We can see **** all, no real idea of where we were going. We get to one bit and climb up some rocks and keep going.
We get to the false top still seeing nothing and thinking whats the point.
We go right to the top and.................................
we can still see **** all
No-one going up and down can tell the time, we asked a guy, he looked at us and said 50mins to the top, wrong it was 20:wacko:
Theres big groups of families going up going stupidly slow, and people taking dogs up on leads, which get in the way.
So, Mount Snowdon is a fake, and not a mountain.

I went up and it was 10'c @ bottom but 3'c at the top ! and misty/foggy !

Try it in the Winter if you think its easy Joe !

Not exactly testing and invigorating though is it?

All you are essentially doing with Kilimanjaro is walking uphill, there is no climbing involved. She only prob struggled becuase of the distance involved in getting to the summit and the fact that it is 4600m above sea level therefore the air is thinner.

Which makes it a mountain.

I should point out that I do think that Kilimanjaro is a mountain (of course it is) but saying it is a ''proper mountain'' that would be challenging is utter rubbish.

Its more of a mountain then Snowdon
