mistakes in movies

Just been to see the Transformers film. Brill film but HUGE mistake. They have depicted Luxor's Karnak Temple as being in the same place as the Giza pyramids (when in fact they are a 45 min flight apart) (do they think we don't go to these places?)

(they've made a right mess of the temple and the pyramids too!)

what mistakes have you noticed in films?

Not technically a mistake:
The motorbike chase in Mission Impossible (2?). The bikes seemed to automatically change from road tyres to knobbly tyres and back again depending on the terrain.

In the film Ice Cold in Alex the ambulance was sometimes a four wheel drive truck and sometimes a two wheel drive truck. Also at the end there is a Series 1 Land Rover parked at the side of the road. It hadn't been invented until 1949, after the war had finished.

That's another mistake in a film. How come we never get to see Sylvia Syms stripped off and washing herself with petrol?

You are kidding? Oh man that just ruins the believability of the whole thing!

In Reservoir Dogs, the radio switches itself off after the ear slicing scene.

In Smokey and the Bandit the magmount aerial is knocked off his car as he crashes through a hedge onto a sports pitch or whatever, and when the camera pans to see the car driving away the aerial magically has reattached itself.

In Terminator 2 when the tow truck crashes though the concrete and down in to the storm drain, chasing John Connor, it lands on its front wheels. The front wheels are seen pointing in different directions as the track rod has broken and the truck veers up the embankment. As the T1000 swings the steering wheel to get the truck back on course it magically fixes itself.

In the original 'Dambusters' (other threads may exist debating this film extensively) the Lancaster aircraft are seen taking off and landing upon treaded tyres, such tyres were not introduced for service aircraft until well after WWII had ended.

Furthermore ;-) the bouncing bomb in some scenes is an obvious fake!!!

There's that bit in LOTR where Gimli is kneeling before but about a yard away from, Balin's tomb. Then suddenly he's nutting the tomb as he kneels directly before it.

In Four Weddings and a Funeral High Grant's character picks Andie MacDowell over Kristin Scott Thomas yet for the rest of the film he seems totally sane.
