FNRttC Night Ride Cardiff to Swansea Friday 18th September

I saw a lake in Wales on that really hilly ride with Claud, Rich, and Lukesdad et al. It was a reservoir really, but would pass for a lake.

I know that one (so does @Michael Adu now), but it is a little bit out of the way.

The other problem is that she's expecting mountains and Swansea is pancake flat.

There's a sort of big pond by the motorway at Briton Ferry. How fussy is she?

To return to the original prospect, earlier today I looked at trains from MCR to Cardiff and then back from Swansea. It seemed feasible.
I looked at my diary; I've got tickets for England v Fiji for that night and I'm off to France the next day.

I'm currently on holiday and will pick up emails in a week or so. Spent a very pleasant day today cycling by vineyards and beaches on Ile de Re.

Lucky you! Bit flat though! My first, only and brief ride on an Ordinary was on Ile de Ré.

I've not got time to check through the fine print, but there's a cheapie accommodation offer on Groupon that appears to cover the dates of the ride, in case anyone fancies making a weekend of it, or at least getting plastered and crashing over on the Saturday. It's a flat ride back to here from the finish...
