Ive never come acrros a free pdf converter that's any good what I've usually done is took a snapshot of the page and pasted it into a photo package; if you have a lot of pages that's time comsuming though.

I've tried it (.png would be good) but five minutes after receiving the e-mail they tell me my 24 hours has expired....

you can get free demo versions from adobe's website

some people do already have either of these but don't know that they can be used for it, and some peoples computers come with a lighter version (photoshop elements) already on

If you have office, open the pdf in acrobat reader, print it to the office document image writer as a tiff, open it in paint and save as a bmp or jpg

Gimp is free, and does pretty much everything Photoshop does.

I haven't tried it with PDFs yet, but it should work

If you have Ghostscript installed, yes. Likewise imagemagick, which will be quicker for batch jobs.

There's PerfectPDF, which according to the blurb:

Perfect PDF Reader is a good alternative for Adobe Reader, it has also some more functions. You can export pages from PDF file as the images (BMP, GIF, JPEG, PNG, Metafile) with different resolution. There is a possibility to fill forms and to save filled file.

Not a programme I've tried myself (I use Foxit) but Download Squad are featuring it today.
