A good result for Rangers really, they're nowhere near ready for the SPFL and would end up financially ruined trying to compete, again.

That could be said no matter when/if they ever get back into the SPL.. Their less understanding fans will be expecting them to be able to compete against Celtic as soon as they make the step up, but it's doubtful that's going to be the case whenever it happens.

To be fair to the less understanding fans, it really doesn't help that those in charge of the club and most of the media bang on about how fitba needs Rangers.

I'm not sure I agree with that. Until Hearts got that Lithuanian twat involved and Hibs went badly wrong last season, the bigger/city clubs have been fine in the top flight.

The issue, as Rangers have highlighted, is spending stupid money which just doesn't exist because we're adjacent to the best league in the world...
