No, they eat rabbits, which are also vermin. In fact foxes'll eat most things I gather, although sensibly they are picky about slugs.

Swee'pea is right about the quince preserve though, but they need a silver spoon to do it with.

They dont eat enough rabbits though. Fact. They come into the cities and eat from bins and the scraps left on the floor.
Much better if we just went around shooting them to eat them.
A friend of mine goes shooting. His mate once blew a fox apart. He shot it with his shot gun, and it was a special cartidge, at close range.
My mate(who can skin rabbits and doesnt get groced out by much) nearly threw up when he picked the fox up

But on the rat topic, my grandad and I would use traps in his garden. We would then check them every morning and drown them if they were still alive.
