Veteran
Maybe Jo Pavey, great achievement at her age but especially coming back to the sport after having a kid about a year ago.

She is also in a sport where the competition is relatively fair - if she was wearing the worst trainers in her race she would still have won Commonwealth and European gold, stick Lewis Hamilton in the worst car on the grid and he would be a back marker!

Hi

Had to google him, sadly but only an occasional rugby viewer mind you twice this weekend...

Are you sure? No rugby on this weekend, not rugby league anyway

He is from Dewsbury, went to Australia when Russel Crowe invited him down to the filming of Robin Hood. He signed for South Sydney Rabbitohs and was followed by his other 3 brothers shortly afterwards. They had dropped out the league not long ago and Sam led them to win the Grand Final which was the biggest TV audience of the year in Australia. He smashed his cheekbone and eye socket in the very first tackle and still played the full game being the first ever Englishman to with the Clive Churchill medal for the Man of the Match in his final game before going to Bath Rugby Union. He is an absolute here over there
