I am leaving Orpington at 7.20 as I will be meeting TTCycle in Mitcham, havinga quick cuppa then making our way to HPC.

Mitcham, Mmm just remembered I'm washing my hair . Hyde Parks probably going to be nice though too far for me to get back.

I thought you might be heading south, so I'll pass his time.

Surprisingly its actually quite decent outside. Very gusty but the sun is out and the sky is blue.

Too bad it aint going to last for long though. Theres a torrential downpour a'comin

Not according to the bbc website. Come 18.00 its going to be rain with 40mph gusts to come next. Wind will die down but the rain will pretty much be on all night

As @ianrauk has it, a pumpkin hour is the time before which the well advised must return home. Staying out beyond the pumpkin risks having one's bicycle turned into a fruit, horses back into mice, footmen to lizards, lycra to rags, or worse, a trip to ikea. The wise amongst us have never tested these risks.
