Remember watching spitting image puppets that were actually funny or stabbed at the politicians of the day, instead of this half puppet, half cgi blah that we have now.

P`raps it was that we had politicians with more character back then.

"These peas are lovely Norma, lovely and round". P`raps not.

When we have something for tea with peas Mr M always says "peas are nice tonight dear"

Eat mashed swede that was actually yellow...not this insipid insipidly coloured and flavoured stuff we get now.
Today's was OK, just OK. I used to love it, now it's just ok :sad:.
So it's not just me then. The only decent swede I've had recently was from Aldi

I remeber my Grandad always cooked a ham in the pressure cooker every Friday, looked highly dangerous but tasted lovely fresh out into a sandwich!.

We had the coal man round (or coalite? after the smoke ban..).

Same with the milk bottles, Fray Bentos pie tin worked wonders over the top. Top of the milk on cornflakes or porridge was great!.

Remember the wired remote controls!.
