My sister bought a bike for her lad for £30. It is quite decent. However, the front fork is seized solid. No amount of force by yours truely could budge it. So does anyone happen to have an old pair of forks, or some off a scrapper they can salvage before chucking it? They are 1" steerer threaded, V-Brake compaitble for 24" wheel bike. Bankrupt bike parts had a pair for £20 but sadly for 1 1/8" steerer.

Are you saying they are a suspension fork and the stanchions are seized in the sliders? If so they really don't do much when working so I wouldn't bother changing them. Most people will lock them out for the road anyway.
