I have a couple bikes running 10 speed campagnolo and am considering going 11 speed to take advantage of wider gearing. So, sticking with mechanical shifting I can go 105 (getting worried Campag won't be about in a while) and would need the chain, shifters and front/rear derailleurs. Will a Campag cassette run with the 11 speed set? I can get a 12-32 11 speed Campagnolo cassette but am I just better changing everything? Was trying to see what was the least I could get away with

wider gearing
which doesn't need more gears to achieve.

the least you can get away with is sticking with 10sp campag. The RD's will take a 12-29 or 13-30. Miche do campag compatible cassette in a variety of flavours at a decent price. Have you got a 50-34 crankset or a 53-39?

Lefty tighty. Get it righty.
I went down a similar route..

My story is that I went from 10s SRAM to 11s Shimano 105 a few years back when my SRAM right shifter disintegrated. Chainrings & cassette were worn out so a major overhaul was needed. I went to 11s because that was what the latest and greatest 105 R7000 was offering at the time. I'd have been just as happy with 10 (or 8 TBH)

That lowered my bottom gear a smidge (32 to 34, noticeable but not massive. That was a welcome change, but the 10 to 11 speed change made no difference. Unless I were to carefully count the gears I'd never be able to tell the difference.

So I guess the question is, can you get Campag compatible 10s cassettes that offer the range you want? If so, can your rear mech handle the sprocket size and range required by that cassette?

110bcd running 46/36 which would go down to 34 or even 33. Would be just getting a lower gear really but I'm not getting younger so think that 34x29 would be okay but might not in a couple of years

Upgrade even further to 8 speed.

Why not go the whole hog and go 5 speed and a double clanger!

GRX 2x10 on my gravel ebike has been great this last ~11 months, 30/46 chainrings with 11-34 cassette. Trying to decide whether to buy another 11-34, or perhaps go 11-36 to make a few hills that hit ~20% gradient a bit easier.

As far as I'm aware, none of the big brands have done 9-speed drop bar groupsets with fully hydraulic brakes, you have you go 10+.
