Hmmm, I wasn't sure that was necessary either. Some of the camera effects were a bit too tricksy (the snake resting while time passed around it) but that's just gratuitous whining really. Can't wait for the next one.Abitrary said:

If you haven't realised it yet, that whole program was nothing more than an excuse to squeeze a gratuitous bit of CGI t-rex porn in.
I think it's just lame, because it is the most easy dinosaur to do. That's why you don't see tricerotops and stegasauruses appearing in these things (except for the crap stegasaurus spike in that one which wasn't even cgi).

Well impressed with the Madagascan mini chameleon.
As a kid in Cornish (where i lived in 1960s) we used to catch common lizards in abundance in almost every hedgerow. When i go there these days, i never even see one, despite attempting to do so.

Used to get lizards when I was a kid, in Hampshire. Only in hot summers though.

As ever, it was great, even for someone like me watching in black and white. I just imagine the colours. There's something so infectious about David Attenborough's enthusiasm, I was grinning like mad when he got to see that teeny chameleon at last.
I agree, I can do without the CGI, nature's amazing enough, but I did like the bit where it turned back into a skeleton and collapsed. No reason you can't have a bit of humour in an educational show.

Loved it. Mind you, I adore St David of Attenborough, and will watch anything of his on the goggle box. My offspring buys me the DVDs of the various Attenborough progs at birthdays & Christmas. I can watch his stuff again and again and again..
