Or in the SWAT tv series, it took me a while to suss what they meant when entering a building and one would say to another 'Gimme two'.

And frequently, when the SWAT team had entered the building, a command to head say south woud be given.
How the heck did they know which direction the respective point of the compass was in an enclosed building - ?
