I haven't used him yet but seemed a nice chap when I met him and seems to do training. Might get him to replace the bearings on my MTB....could I, as a caring employer, offer to provide my employee with some free cycle training and claim it against tax? Also where would I find any training for him in sunny Macclesfield?
Having given my old bike to my employee last week, I was pleased to see that he used it today. So that's two people and two bikes. Warm cosy feeling.
During lunch he told me that he does not cycle on the road (oh dear) and I discovered that he does not know how to use the gears either. He's got no lights or helmet either so now I'm a worried employer![]()

A pity - the HMRC mileage rate is a welcome 20p a mile, although that is at work, not getting to work.... The business does not yet run to me having a company bike.
