No Jose Feliciano. What a crock...
What do you make of it?
and, while we're mired in the past.........Walter Becker. More important than one might think, because he brought style to guitar playing in an era of unthinking athleticism. Fewer notes, sweeter message

Oh yes! Good call.
And speaking of John Peel faves, where the hell is Lowell George?
And JJ Cale?
Unknown in Rolling Stone. Hawk spit. And where's Mick Green as well?
Oh yeah, dear old Lowell. What about Canvey's finest, Wilco Johnson?
Segovia? Bream? Django Reinhardt? John Dowland?
They've got a funny view of "music" and "of all time".
Oh yeah, dear old Lowell. What about Canvey's finest, Wilco Johnson?
tbh I think that JJ Cale, Lowell George and 'Skunk' Baxter were mediocre Valley musicians of little talent and less imagination lifted above their station by a music industry dulled, nay stupefied, by the over-consumption of cocaine. Becker sort of held the fort until Patti Smith saved pop music.
Ralph Towner, anyone?
