Will the same chain fit both 105 & RS500 ?

What brand of chain do you usually use on your 11 speed?

RS500 is the OEM version of 105, sold slightly cheaper but basically the same.

Pretty much any Shimano/SRAM/KMC chain can be used interchangeably.

I personally prefer KMC as I've had no reliability issues and I like the quick links, I've had a couple of SRAM chains fail at the quicklink and I don't like the fitting arrangements for shimano chains.

Yes.

KMC or SRAM, both get supplied with quick links. That said, Planet-X were selling FSA 11 speed chains on the cheap a while back so I bought a couple. No issues with them so far after about 1500 miles.

I believe you can now get Shimano quick links.

You can - my bike came fitted with one.
