My new bike has 12-25 on Sram Force

I’m used to 32 and it’s nice for me on the hills.

What’s involved to set up an 11-32 cassette? Will it just fit on without adjusting chain length and re indexing rear mech?

You might have a short cage rear derailleur which wouldn't work so that may well need changed too.

How will I know that?

You should get an idea just by looking at it. Here's an example.

Check the mech measurements  (or if it’s a standard bike, look for the original specs, SRAM call their medium (they didn’t do a 10 speed long) mech which will take a 32 cassette ‘wifli’)
The advantage of SRAM is their 10 speed mechs are compatible across the range

Just think about the chain length thing - of course you'll need a longer chain, its got a bigger distance / more teeth to stretch round on the biggest sprocket. approx 7 more links ! {EDIT 4 links needed - thanks @Ajax Bay}

If you are putting on a new cassette, its good practice to fit a new chain anyway as a worn chain on new cassette will just wear the cassette quicker

You shouldn't need to re index the rear mech as the 10 or 11 sprockets are in exactly the same place (providing your RD has capacity to cope with the 32T). You may have to adjust the B screw, which sets the distance from the largest sprocket to the top pulley wheel

Call them short cages.... :giggle: I can't get more than a 26T on my two 'vintage' road bikes.

First call, new cassette and longer chain. Fit chain and carefully see if it will shift to the bigger sprocket - you'll probably been to adjust the 'B' screw at the back of the mech to pull the jockey wheels away from the teeth of the cassette. Then try the chain/mech at small small, so no sag, and large large and no 'jams' - just to ensure it works. If it won't do large large, then you will be looking at a longer mech - you'll need another 11 speed mech if it's 11 speed.

Is it this bike? If so, 10 speed. Doesn’t give specifics on the derailleur length unfortunately. I can’t recall if there’s a Force medium cage option, I bought Rival at that time with a medium and 11-32 (50-34 on the front)

You’d need to scour eBay
Edit…There is a Force Wifli and you can get new…for £110

At least 10 speed chains and cassettes are cheaper than 11

That’s the bike however they have the cassette wrong.

It is fitted with Sram PG 1030 cassette 12-25

Maybe it's been changed in the last 8 years of ownership assuming the seller actually rode the bike?
Luckily an 11-32 replacement of the same will only cost £39
https://www.probikekit.co.uk/bicycle-cassettes-sprockets/sram-pg1030-10-speed-cassette/10813545.html
or you could upgrade to the 1050
https://www.balfesbikes.co.uk/compo...1050-10-speed-cassette-11-32t-in-silver__7547
(I use the Shimano equivalent on my 10 speed Rival bike, no issues and cheaper than SRAM)

I presume sram and shimano both fit the same onto the Freehub?
