172.5mm cranks and fixed

Got hold of some very nice Dura Ace cranks with a single ring - perfect for fixed. But at 172.5mm they are longer than I am used to.

Too long for spinning and ground clearance issues do you think?

Could be. I run 170 and not had an issue with ground strikes however 172.5 could be a bridge too far.
