That was in 1967, when I was 17, just finishing my first 50. My Bates was the BAR model and I had from about 1964 to just after this photo when I traded it in for a more modern RJ Quin. Have fond memories of it. Bought a straight forks Bates in the late 80's, but it wasn't the same.
