1969 Moulton Major

Due to acquiring a Speed six replica,I've decided to concentrate on that so am offering my Major up for sale.

Original and unrestored,I would describe the paint as having patina,rusdt has bled through but it has polished up reasonably.
Fitted with stronger 36 spoke wheels from an earlier Moulton,chrome Dunlop rims in pretty good condition with good schwalbe marathon tyres. Handlebar and levers in very nice condition.
New cables,will come with new replacement cable guides if I haven't already fitted them. Front suspension completely stripped,cleaned,regreased and reassembled with new headset bearings.new front wheel bearings,greased and adjusted.3spd Sturmey hub works perfectly.good brakes with new blocks.I've ridden it a few miles and it rides well.

The Major was the last of the original F frames,fitted with stronger rear forks,good solid edge brazed frame,and a detachable plug in rear rack.Not many were built before Raleigh launched the mark 3.
Only faults are a split in the rear mudguard,and chrome on the cranks isn't brilliant.original pedals spin freely but are rusty.

I rode it 5 miles this afternoon to get some cat food and other than a slightly slack chain which I will attend to,it rode lovely,tyres pumped up to 80 psi,rolled along quietly with the suspension ironing out the bumps,gears and brakes nicely adjusted.
