1975 Dawes Galaxy -Finished eventually

picked this little gem up when I was back in Newcastle. Mostly original and in good condition for age. Even has the original bike shop sticker from when it was sold. Still need to finish cleaning pedals then new brake pads and handlebar tape. I had to change the original brimalux wheels as the rear had a broken axle . That said I think the mavic MA2'slook nice.

That takes me back. In the seventies me and my good lady both had a Galaxy. Both disappeared from their 'secure' shed one night. Used the insurance money to buy a new patio door.

Finally got round to getting new bar tape and replacing the broken rear axle. Now for storage until next year when it will hopefully find a new owner
