This is my 1987 Clamont road bike.
It's a 61cm seat tube, I bought it as a bare frame and fork a couple of years ago.
Clamont is an Australian brand started in a shop in Sydney, their frame builder Geoff Scott is renowned for building bikes for the Australian Olympic team that won gold in 1984 in LA.
My frame was allegedly built by him, I am sure it is more likely one of their Taiwanese built frames- either way it rides nicely and is extremely light.
I've fitted it with a 7 speed Shimano 1055 groupset from 1991 with downtube shifters.
Originally I had some early 90's Araya ADX 510's on it but I've now fitted some more modern Mavic Aksium Race wheels. I'm loving the mix of older and new, especially the improvement in rigidity.
It's one of the best handling bikes I've ever ridden and a big conversation starter with riders around my vintage.
