1990 Brompton L3 #2101 – Exceptional very early Mk2 in stunning original condition.
Frame number 2101 so built in Late 1989 - early 1990 (hub stamped 89–09. Just one previous mature owner from new. Supplied and regularly serviced by the original supplying dealer Warlands in Oxford. It remains in remarkable original condition, having always been dry stored and only ever used for leisure rides.
The bike has had some sensible period upgrades but all the original parts are included.

• Upgraded Brompton yellow label tyres fitted about 20 years ago (NOS correct Raleigh Record tyres Included)
• 1970’s vintage Brooks B76 saddle (Original foam saddle with slider Pentaclip included)
• Original plastic handlebar grips
• Original larger plastic pedal
• Original front/rear reflectors (NOS white wheel reflectors are included)
• Retrofitted Brompton frame clip and suspension block, this stops the bike folding when picked up (Original clamp and block is included)
The original gloss red paintwork in in excellent condition, with only a few light marks on the main frame. The rust free rear triangle has had some careful touch‑ins but all the paintwork is original. Mechanically, the bike is in great condition and I’ve ridden it regularly on dry days. The early caliper brakes work surprisingly well and the SA 3 speed hub shifts cleanly through all three gears. All the hinge pins work smoothly with no play or obvious wear.
The original, unobtainable silver plastic mudguards are intact, with age‑related whitening to the blades. The metal stays show some corrosion, these could easily be replaced, I personally would leave it all original.
