Great work. That's my next goal too, hopefully this weekend. Managed 90 km last weekend, would have carried on to do the 100 but cycle computer went on the fritz and didn't know how close I was:sad:

Very weel done Pete, that is an excellent achievement. I have done a few metric centuries but not yet a 100miles, though I have signed up for one of the Wiggle Sportives this year for 120 miler! Gulp! Anyway well dome for getting fit and packing up the ciggies.

You should be able to do it by the end of June. Seriously.

Having never done more than 40 miles on any single ride, i took on and completed 2 x 100km audaxes, 1 x 150 km audax and 1 x 200km audax on four consecutive weekends before setting off for a LEJOG two weeks later.

Go for it. the difference between 100km and 100miles is much smaller than you imagine.

Pete/Phil/Paul, whatever your name is (:thumbsup:) ... you managed a metric century at the start of May - I reckon if you keep riding some decent distances, you could tackle an imperial century way before September! :bravo:


If the weather stays nice then i will try and do it.
