1st proper wet commute for a while

Ahhh - the joys of disc brakes.

Aye laddie, ive got totally OTT 4 pot Hopes on my commuter so I laugh in the face of rain, tweak the nose of sleet.

Ive also resisted the urge to go to one or two chainrings, so I still got 32t fresh snow chomping ability. It's like the Land Rover of commuters. A bit heavy when the goings good, but unstoppable when things get gnarly, not to mention armchair comfy, with room for a Retriever in the top box.

My brakes were really, really poor in the wet this morning.
There's plenty of life left in the pads, but the braking response was just dreadful.

I found that out in Prescott Street near Tower Gateway as the ped made a suicidal dash for the pavement.

was dry as a bone on my short ride (only 3 miles) to the station but once I got to London and started my run to the office I got soaked but it was nice as it kept me cool

today was tempted to get latest bike out but with no gaurds and rain on way again it stays in the garage a bit longer

Been wet often here. The new pads fitted mid June are looking decidedly thin. Time to order some more. That's a record.

I need to get myself a proper waterproof jacket and not the boil-in-the-bag thing I have right now.

I done that tonight got home and literally had to wring my jeans and hoody out of water, even my boxers were dripping and for once it wasn't just me wetting my self. LOL
