I think that must be a conversion, although it looks to be reasonably well done.

The Rohloff shifter means the front brake is a little further inboard than you might ideally want.

My factory Rohloff bike gets around that by using slightly shorter Rohloff-specific Ergon grips, and Shimano trekking disc brake levers which are longer than MTB two finger ones.

A bigger problem might be chain tension.

Looks like the bike has neither an eccentric bottom bracket nor sliding drop outs.

It should be possible to fit a single pulley chain tensioner.

Rohloff make one, or a Shimano or other brand tensioner will probably fit.
