the worst part was that I laid in the road for a few minutes with my bike on top of me, and nobody ( in cars, surprise surprise ) even bothered to ask if I was ok.
Thanks trail, it`s not looking that good at the moment, the gravel rash has got infected, I`m in a hell of a lot of pain with my ribs, and I`ve had to borrow a car just to go to work and get shopping, pretty much hit rock bottom Many thanks for your support though, yours and everybody elses has been fantastic
Know how you feel , I came off twice in a short time , 2nd time cracked ribs and, as you probably know ,trying to get comfortable to sleep was difficult and painful . Aslo mallet finger on the 1st off which now has to be sorted out by the plastic surgeon, not looking forward to that. Did feel like saying sod it but still on my bikes . Take it easy.

Mallet finger? That sounds nasty too, is it ok now? Yes with the ribs sleeping is an absolute nightmare, I haven`t slept for more than about an hour a night since this happenned, nearly 2 weeks!! I`m like a zombie at work and falling asleep at every available chance while I`m at home, and the worst part - I can feel the weight piling on again already, even though I am trying to fight it off
Terrible about your crash and nobody stopping to help you. I hope you start feeling better soon and can get some sleep. I also read about your infection, that can be very serious.
You have told a Dr. about all this haven't you? Just want to be sure you are not trying to tough this out on your own. Pain killers and antibiotics can be your friend in a situation like this.
I don't think you should go throwing your bikes in a skip in your condition; you should get somebody else to do it for you. I am more than happy to dispose of your bikes for you

Mallet finger is when the extensor tendon detaches from the bone so the finger doesn`t straighten , and drops or bends at the end. I had a splint on for 6 weeks to get it to re-attatch but it didn`t. So now have got to see plastic surgeon to see what can be done. It`s my right hand little finger and holding the handlebars , making a fist etc is difficult/painful and of course the cold weather is making it go numb.
