2 guys on mtb's going into kirkby merseyside

so today I took the car out to go shopping. On my way I was behind two guys on mtb's (1 of them was a specialised). Both guys were really going for it so I remained behind them for a minute or so. After this minute the way was clear so I overtook them leaving loads of room.

I was shocked and really grateful that one of the riders appreciated my driving and gave me a wave of thanks. This never usually happens but it has made my day.

Was it anyone on here?

Around Liverpool it is a novelty to be overtaken properly, so I always try to wave and thank drivers. Think it really makes a difference and makes it more likely for the driver to do the same again next time

You'll get it from me. Especially if I see that you've been held up for more than a few seconds. But it wasn't me - I'm nowhere near 'pool and I don't have an MTB.

I am always careful around cyclists (as I am one) and motorcyclists (because i am one of them too) but it was just nice to be aknowledged for a change. As stated above it never happens on merseyside.
