Woken early by Junior getting up for the second half of her weekend shift, so thought I may as well get up. Bit of a lazy one today I think - will head out with the hounds at some point but will do a spot of lounging for now.

Hi all. Sunny and cold here at the moment. Young oxo finally got back in the early hours looking a little rough. Eldest even worse apparently, but thats his girlfriends problem 🤭. Day of clearing out stuff thats not moving with us so a couple of tip runs done. New laptop arrived and set-up for OH so she's happy. Finish off filling in online paperwork for solicitors and estate agents, way easier with a laptop rather than a phone. Suppose I'd better get stuff ready for work in the morning.

Its been a day of sunshine and showers and I had a severe case of CBA to do anything. So other walk Bernie and watch some cycling I‘ve barely got off my backside.

Evening!

Managed to be in the Algarve to witness their first rain since May. Our planned activity was cancelled due to a yellow weather warning but the rain didn't start until 4ish and was heavy but brief.

Booked a boat trip visiting the many caves along the coast near Albufeira (today's teachable moment: Albufeira station is as handy as Bristol Parkway is for the Clifton bridge). Ate stunningly tasty vegan gluten free (no, I'm neither) food, twice, and had a walk along the praia before getting a taxi back (teachable moment 2: Portuguese taxis are cheaper than 2 people on the train). Turns out taxi driver politics over here are surprisingly centrist (sample of 1).

Time for a mooch before readying for the return home tomorrow.

4 mile walk with Merlot the dog before dawn. Started a 26 mile ride but punctured at 5 miles, my overall confidence is a bit shot since my clipless moment so I didn't fully trust my tube change and headed home. Did the ironing for the week and then watched various rugby games.

No Cleo. Sadly, haven't seen her for some 6 weeks.
Beans jolly walk adventure with pictures is on hold as Beans has hit a lperiod of cba.
Probably because the moon is out, hasn't rained a lot and he spends most of the night out.
