As I say show me the man or woman who can cycle 20 miles without secreting a single drop of sweat.
Only that's not what you said, was it. You've gone from 'sweat wet clothing' which 'stinks' to 'a single drop'. Can we take that to mean you are conceding that your original assertion was incorrect, then?

I picked up the Aldi gloves during the Cycling event (along with all my other winter gear)....they do the job when I remember to put them on haha
Sorry I missed this thread originally.

Glad you've take the option to ride in work clothes, its the simplest solution. I understand you burn the same calories riding slowly as you do fast (over the same distance) so it'll still have a positive effect on your health.

If I had joined the discussion earlier I would have recommended a tall shopping type bike (Might not appeal at first but try to go for the Oxbridge prep look with a scarf and long oat to finish the look...its very "un-cyclist" and actually quite intelligent looking) that motivates you to ride slowly.

"Ecclesiastical riding" as someone once tagged it, is a joy, keep it under 10mph and just watch the world roll by, without even breaking a sweat.

Superb way to get about the place.

Wifey would kill me if I bought another bike! I am using my hardtail MTB with slicks, just need to get another mudguard as the last one broke. On the nicer days I'll take the roadie in and take the long way home
