i am off on a bike trip in a day or two. the only advice i realise i now need is of the pseudo philosophical nature. Inviting everyone to submit a 'saying' , original or not, makes no difference. I will send a tenner to the winner on return, promise.
ps I am the judge

Context; 54 years old : st Malo to Narbonne : camping (credit card available if necessary )
Go on you might win a whole tenner

Cheers !

Every 'up-hill' is followed by a 'down-hill' (of some sort).

Someone posted this on my thread looking for motivation (I think it was OverTheHill):

Pedal one turn, repeat as necessary - then you get there!

Definitely made me chuckle!

I think it used to be a slogan in some old Mountain Bike mag (MBUK circa 1990?) Anyway, I always liked:

"Ride and find where all the freedom has gone."
