Maybe his DS told him to get in the break or get in the car and save it for another day?
Dversnæs, who was also in the break with him was a DNF in two of his last four races as well. It's the arse-end of the season and most riders are knackered - having a little extra can go a long way here

I enjoyed the video, and he obviously is impressively fit, but I wish that they hadn't kept going on about how he 'beat Pog'. He didn't, at least in the usual sense of riding faster! He did beat all of the other riders, and he managed to avoid being caught by a chatty Pog doing what for him was a fun local ride!

I don't think 1.2 classifies as Pro does it? The majority of the peloton are club and regional riders, Uno-X the only pro-conti team, then a dozen or so CT teams and the rest are amateur
